The beating heart of Marmomacc: Architecture and Design in the Italian Stone Theatre

Thanks to the special Made in Italy promotion Plan of the Ministry of Economic Development in collaboration with ICE-Italian Trade Agency and Confindustria Marmomacchine, returns this year the Italian Stone Theatre, an entire hall dedicated to culture and experimentation with materials and machinery, two of the main sectors of the Italian lithic industry.

Deepening the experimental line adopted by Marmomacc in 2015, the Italian Stone Theatre (Hall 1) will become a place of cultural projects dedicated to Made in Italy, with innovative initiatives implemented by companies in collaboration with some of the leading international designers and architects.

Designers and architects together with marble sector companies to highlight natural stone

Three major exhibitions will be held in Hall 1 during Marmomacc, scheduled 28 September-1 October 2016 at Veronafiere.

The Power of Stone: an investigation into design in complete freedom to narrate the materials dearest to our natural stone culture.

New Marble Generation: will involve designers from different experiences to take up the challenge posed by stone materials.

50 Years of Living Marble: a tribute to the best production in Italian stone design over the last 50 years, unwinding through an historical anthology stimulating comparison.

Marmomacc presents the first edition of the Icon Award

All the installations on display in The Italian Stone Theatrewill be contestants for this prestigious award. This hall is implemented by Marmomacc in collaboration with the Ministry for Economic Development, ICE-Italian Trade Agency and Confindustria Marmomacchine as part of the special Made in Italy Promotion Plan.
